Benefits

Medical through Kaiser Permanente is available for Regular, Primary employees working 30+ hours a week. Base coverage for the employee is provided by Pearl Buck Center, buy-up options are available for employee purchase. Eligibility begins on the first day of the month following 60 days of employment for non-exempt employees.

Dental & Vision through Met Life is available for Regular, Primary employees working 30+ hours a week. Base coverage for the employee is provided by Pearl Buck Center, buy-up options are available for employee purchase. Eligibility begins on the first day of the month following 60 days of employment for non-exempt employees.

Voluntary Life Insurance, Short-term or Long-term disability, Flexible Spending Account are available for employee purchase.

Paid Time Off (PTO): Employees accrue PTO each pay period based on hours worked beginning at a rate of .0577/hr worked (annual equivalent of 15 days prorated). Umbrella PTO can be used for sick leave as well as vacation. Part time employees can accrue up to 160 hours of PTO, while full time employees can accrue up to 200 hours.

Paid Holidays: We have 10 paid holidays per year. Eligibility begins 30 days following date of hire.

401(k) Retirement Plan: After 6 months of employment, employees are eligible to participate in the program during the next enrollment period. Pearl Buck Center is currently matching up to 3%.

Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment: Each employee working more than 17.5 hours per week is eligible for $10,000 in coverage for themselves and $5,000 for a spouse and $2,000 for children at no cost to the employee.

Training: Opportunities are available for personal growth and skills development.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP): This is a free service to all PBC employees through Cascade Health. The EAP includes family counseling, legal advice, financial direction, and mental health or substance abuse issues. All household members are eligible.

Tools & Reimbursements: Depending on the job, you may receive a cell phone, tablet, or laptop for business use. We reimburse for personal cell phone usage in some situations. Mileage is reimbursed at the federal rate.

Wellness LSA Benefit: A wellness Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA) to cover a wide variety of wellness-related expenses, such as gym memberships, wellness programs, and fitness equipment is provided at no cost to the employee. Regular, Primary employees working 30+ hours a week will receive $20 per month reimbursed for eligible services. Regular, Part-time employees working 17.5+ hours a week will receive $10 per month reimbursed for eligible services.

Referral Bonus: If you refer someone for employment with us and they are hired, you get $100 once their background check clears! After 90 days, you will receive an additional $100 for providing PBC with a great referral!

All Staff Meetings: We conduct semi-yearly staff meetings to keep all employees aware of PBC news and activities.

Engagement Group: Our Engagement Group includes the Wellness & Activity Committee (WAC), and our Safety Committee. The goal of these groups is to come together to ensure that PBC is an enjoyable and safe place to work! Our WAC team seeks fun events for employees to participate in (often free or at a discounted price). Some of the events sponsored in the past included Trivia Night, Murder Mystery Dinner, Laser tag & Mini-golf, Nature Walk, Staff BBQ, and much more!
